There’s no doubt that Covid-19 has thrown many curveballs and cancellations our way with several traditions and long standing events having to cancel. Events To a T has put together a safe, family-friendly event where attendees can enjoy the festive spirit of the holidays without the worry of large crowds. The Holiday Festival of Lights includes over 20 beautiful light displays that have been uniquely crafted by local businesses and organizations.
“The interest and generosity of our region never ceases to amaze me. Within minutes of releasing the information of this event, several businesses replied with an enthusiastic YES!” Attendees are required to purchase a ticket to this outdoor, walk through event. Each ticket gives access to the event for a 40 minute session, afterwhich, new attendees can enter the exhibit for their 40 minute session. Tickets are $5 with proceeds benefiting local charitable organizations such as Operation Santa Claus, WAIT House and 11th Hour Rescue. Tickets can be purchased on Eventstoat.net, Facebook/Eventstoat123 or on eventbrite.com under Holiday Festival of Lights. Many dates have already SOLD OUT! The event will run every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from November 28 until December 20 with sessions starting at 4pm until 9pm. Festive music, warm beverages and sweet treats can also be expected. Parking for the event takes place along Westbrook Road as well as in the parking lot adjacent to Biscotti Brothers Cafe. Restrooms are available for use, no outside food is permitted and masks must be worn at all times without exception.
Participating Businesses and organizations include: TCT Federal Credit Union, Ledgeview RV Park, Lake George Steamboat Company, Greater Glens Falls Transit, Entertainment One Rentals, Roaring Brook Ranch, Glamp ADK, Whittemore, Dowen & Ricciardelli LLP, Fort William Henry, AccentsbyKK, Boathouse Restaurant/Lodges at Cresthaven, Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce, TD Bank, Lake George Mermaids, Village of Lake George, High Peaks Hospice, Adirondack Cotton Company, Northern Living, Caldwell Presbytarien Church, Double H Ranch, Holiday Inn Resort. In the past, many have enjoyed the Light Up the Village event in Shepard’s Park. Due to covid that event had to cancel. This event, although in a different location, will provide a safe and beautiful opportunity for families to get in the holiday spirit.
